A record may appear to be in good condition but play with repeated or continual noise, crackle or static. This is a silly grade that makes little sense. Most records should be cleaned before they are played and semi-regularly after that.Ī Very Good record will appear played with numerous cosmetic imperfections. The odd bit of static might just be dust. Such textured imperfections are called 'feelies'. This record should play with little to no noise. No imperfection should be textured enough to feel with a finger. Some flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye, there should not be too many. Very Good PlusRecord shows cosmetic scuffs and hairlines. If an imperfection covers more than a few tracks I will rarely give it a record a near mint grade. A minor scuff and the flaw should be very hard to see. I never use this grade with used records and most new records will not deserve it.

Defects from a freshly-opened factory pressing are not acceptable. The album received praise from multiple sites, such as Pitchfork and, most notably, internet critic Anthony Fantano, who ranked the album third on his top 50 best albums list of 2018.No flaws whatsoever. The album was premiered by The Wire Magazine & revolves around themes and topics such as self-reflection, politics, pop culture, gentrification, race, guns & violence. The album is a change of direction for JPEG musically, seeing Peggy somewhat, but not entirely abandon the harsh noise palette of his last solo album 2016’s Black Ben Carson, in favor of a more melodic and experimental array of music. He was in the Air Force, served a four-year tour duty in Iraq, and also spent some formative years while stationed in Japan and Germany, before being honorably discharged in 2015. The album’s title refers to Peggy’s legal status as a veteran. Officially released on January 19th, 2018 by Deathbomb Arc, Veteran is entirely produced, mixed and mastered by Peggy himself, and features Bobbi Rush, Yung Midpack & Freaky, all of whom are from Baltimore.

Veteran is the sophomore studio album by experimental Baltimore rapper/producer JPEGMAFIA.
