It has varitation, from the upbeat, speedy Obedient and Steve Jobs, to songs like Nike Just Do It, which is very minimalist, and "love" songs like Golden Boy/College Boy. He made sure the sound on this project wasn't stale, and WA absolutely killed this project. This is gonna be my anthem.įirst time listen general thoughts/conclusion: If you wanted an Eversince part 2, this isn't it. I'm Goofy - already loving it with the weird laughs in the intro. Reminds me a bit of Skin, even though it's also quite different of course. Bladee's singing is amazing on this, and the melody is crazy chilling. Puppet Master - Has some japanese stuff in the intro. I'm sure most people have heard it, but I love this track, and having now heard it in the context of the album, it's also very cool how indicative it was of the albums sound and aesthetic, to some degree at least. Not one of my faves, but I loved the part where Bladee switched it up, and did a high pitched verse, emotion in his voice.ĭecay - only single from Redlight, an absolute banger that's been on repeat the past week, stuck in my head.
That Thing You Do - liking Uli's hook, haven't listened to him much previously tbh. Seems very similar to how some tracks off D&G sound. He says "walk on water like jesus christ", and mentions swan lake. Nike Just Do It - the longest track, this one slows it down a bit, which is welcomed after the fast pace otherwhere.
They switch bars back on forth on this one. After that line, Ecco comes in like an angel and talks about softcore, their chemistry on these tracks is crazy. Also another Ecco pull up REFERENCE LOL, this time it's a coupe though. Can barely process what they're saying here thoughįor You - "For You amen, never will I love again". continuing bladees speed, ecco comes in on some speed demon shit, this track is like a really fast rollercoaster ride fuck.
Obedient - Continues the very FAST PACE, Bladees verse almost sounds like it's sped up, he needs to chill lmao. This is a very fast paced song, sing-rapping very fast. Hook: "You make me feel so blue, I'm not perfect, but what about you?". Beat slaps really hard, a bit more mumblyįake News - This is amazing, prob my fave lyrics so far. Westfield - IN WESTFIELD with the vacuum seal. Golden Boy - Really really good track, beat sounds ethereal and Bladee floats over the beat with a long verse, beautifully repeats "you make me feel like a golden boy" at the end. Gonna update this with some thoughts and lyrics as I go.ġD - Solid opener, nothing too special at first listen, but seems like a grower
